Sarah Curtiss was in a horrible car accident on January 19th 2023. She was on her way to work that Thursday morning when she was hit by a semi. She sustained several injuries which included a broken left humerus (open break), left tibia and fibula(more than one break), left femur, small right lung collapsed, right 2nd and 3rd rib fractures, right pelvis fracture, left kidney laceration, sternum fracture, a nose fracture, and of course was left her very battered and bruised.

She has had 3 very long surgeries to fix the broken bones in her left leg, right ankle, and left arm. After her 2nd surgery she had to be taken to the ICU because she was struggling to breath, hemoglobin levels were down, and she was in lots of pain. After being in the ICU for about a week she was finally able to breath on her own, and thankfully she was moved out of the ICU into a PT hospital room where she has been working on her PT and OT everyday, and little by little she is making strides in her recovery.

She still has a very long way to go, but Sarah is a strong, determined, hard worker and she will reach all goals set before her.
